One of Frome’s favourite festival events returns to Market Yard with another celebration of street food, music and entertainment.
Over 20 food and drink vendors will have offerings from around the world and this year many will include a smaller ‘tasting menu’ at the event on Saturday 4th July.
For the first time this year, Sass Circus Ltd will be running a free children’s Circus Skills area preceded by a silver stilt walker for Frome Festival’s 25th anniversary.
The entertainment will extend into the Cheese and Grain hall, with three very danceable bands featured on the main stage.
Acts include Rubix Groove performing classics that everyone can sing along to, The Juice, a collective of soul and funk musicians featuring Joe James’s powerful vocals, and Supernormal, a new outfit with Danielle Sharp on vocals, playing original music spanning funk, rock, soul and jazz.
The event will start with Frome Street Bandits leading a procession from St John’s Church at 5pm, which all are welcome to join. SATCO returns with something resembling ballet and you might come across some shanty-singing fishermen, Captain Crusty and the Pickled Herrings. Frome’s Town Crier will also deliver a cry for Frome Festival’s 25th anniversary.
The Food Feast runs from 5pm to 10pm in the Cheese and Grain car park and main hall. It is a free all-ages event. More information can be found on the website https://fromefestival.co.uk/event/the-festival-food-feast/
