THE Park Road Support Centre has received £150 from the McColls convenience store in Vallis Way.
McColls run the Making a Difference Locally scheme, where a percentage of profits made from sales on specific items in their stores goes towards local good causes.
McColls raised £150 through this scheme and recently, branch manager Bronwen Jenkins, was delighted to be able to donate this amount to the Park Road Support Centre, saying it was ‘an integral part of the local community’.
The support centre provides invaluable full-time care and aid for autistic children in the area. This donation will allow the team at Park Road to purchase learning aids that will help the students there to communicate and process the world in which they live, and will teach them all the useful life skills that they will require for their future.
