A message from We Hear You
Hello,
Hope this finds you well, staying at home if your job allows it, and not feeling the cabin fever too much. We’re a few weeks in to our counselling service’s ‘new normal’ and getting used to new rhythms. This newsletter is to remind you that We Hear You are still offering support and we’re planning to do so for as long as this lasts. This includes support for people who have or have had COVID-19 and their families and friends.
We would never have chosen to cease face-to-face counselling, but given that none of us knows how long the current situation will last, please don’t delay in referring yourself if you think you might benefit from talking to someone. We’re supporting anyone over 12 who is directly or indirectly affected by cancer or a life threatening condition via our existing online counselling portal and telephone.

We’re still running our planned taster day for our very popular WHYoutdoors courses on Wednesday 6th May. As we can’t be together, the taster day is brought to you via Zoom and co-hosted by WHY and The Natural Academy. If you’re living with and beyond cancer, this could be a good way to explore the value of nature connection together with your family and friends. Please book tickets for everyone who’d like to attend.

We’re fully committed to providing our services throughout the COVID-19 outbreak and for as long as restrictions last. However, we’ve been forced to postpone or cancel the majority of fundraising activities for the foreseeable future, with demand for our services likely to increase. We fully appreciate the financial strain many are feeling, but we’re hoping some of you can set up a regular donation to take the pressure off a little. £4 a month equates to just over one session each year – and you know the saying about little acorns…
Please follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to keep up-to-date with service developments and some tips and activities to combat boredom and isolation.
