A DOG owner was met with an interesting predicament when collecting his dog from the groomers; there were two identical dogs, with the same name!
Bill Savage went to collect his Shih Tzu cross Toy Poodle, Polly, from the groomers when he was met with two identical ‘shoodles’, black with identical markings.
Bill said, “I was flabbergasted to find that there were two of them. I’ve had my dog for eight years and believed that I would always be able to pick her out from any pack. Not so, not me – and neither could the other dog’s owner distinguish one from the other.
“Pure breeds quite frequently have identification similarities but it is most unlikely to find such a doppelgänger in a cross or mixed breed, especially when both animals originate from different parts of the country. The fact that both of them were also called Polly didn’t help!
“Solving the situation turned out to be easier than I anticipated. I just called out “Polly!” and sure enough, having been separated from me for an hour or so, she came straight to me.”
