A Care home in Frome is celebrating after receiving a glowing report from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) recently.
The team at Catherine House Care Home, on Cork Street, were delighted to have received an overall ‘Good’ CQC report, showing that the home is attaining high standards and providing high quality residential, nursing and respite care to older people in the area.
In the report staff were described as kind and caring and the home as a warm and friendly environment. Relatives said they felt welcome when visiting and one relative said ‘I wouldn’t want (my loved one) anywhere else.’
Catherine House manager, Jane Reynolds said, “We are delighted with this report which is a testament to the hard work that each and every member of the team puts in day in day out. We pride ourselves on offering the best care for older people in Frome and being one of the best care homes in Somerset.”
The care home is owned by HC-One, whose managing director, Liz Whyte said, “This rating is great news and I would like to thank and congratulate the whole team for their commitment and dedication.
“The health and wellbeing of our residents is at the heart of everything we do, and we are 100% focused on continuing to deliver the kindest care for older people in Frome.”
