Carl Palmer, amongst the most renowned drummers in rock history and a founding member of Emerson Lake & Palmer and ASIA is performing with his powerhouse band at the Cheese for the first time on Saturday 8th February. One of the highlights of the last 10 years in Frome was Carl with the full ASIA line up on this stage in 2008.
Carl’s illustrious history at the forefront of the contemporary music scene goes back 40 years from his early days in Chris Farlowe’s Thunderbirds then forming Atomic Rooster with Vincent Crane. However Carl is best known as the powerhouse behind the legendary ELP with Keith Emerson & Greg Lake enjoying numerous world tours and millions of record sales.
Carl was determined to keep the legend of ELP alive and now tours as Carl Palmer’s ELP legacy, a dazzling virtuoso three piece band. Expect all the ELP masterpieces, ‘Pictures of an Exhibition’, Tarkus’, ‘Howdown’ and ‘Fanfare for the Common Man’ in their stunning stage show.
