A HALLOWEEN-themed Ceilidh will take place at Nunney Village Hall on Saturday 22nd October – with a prize for the best zombie!
Folk musician Paul Hutchinson will provide the music and with the dances being called by Hannah Moore who has experience teaching ceilidh and other styles of dancing to people of all ages.
Ceilidhs are great fun for all ages, no experience is necessary and you don’t need to bring a partner.
The theme of the ceilidh is Pride and Prejudice and zombies and you are invited to dress up either as a character from Pride and Prejudice or as a zombie! There will be a prize on the night for the best zombie. There will be a face painter on the door, so if you’ve not managed to find fancy dress and would like to bring out your inner zombie, there is the chance to have your zombie make-up professionally applied! Because of the slightly scary theme, this ceilidh might not be suitable for very young children.
Cafe Nouveau who are based in Tytherington will be selling food at the event so there will be the chance to feast on some hot autumnal food between dances. Vegetarian and gluten free options will be available. There will also be a licence bar selling soft drinks as well as some of Milk Street’s ales.
Tickets cost £10 for adults and £5 for under 16s and are available from Nunney Village Stores, Market Place, Nunney, online at https://zombieceilidh.eventbrite.co.uk and on the door. People are being encouraged to get tickets in advance so organisers can have an idea of numbers for catering and don’t sell out of food.
The ceilidh starts at 7.30pm, doors open from 7pm.
