FAIR Frome is now running a drop-in service where people can get a cheap lunch as well as help and advice from local welfare charities.
‘Fair Food’ is a community lunch initiative running every Tuesday at the Bridge Café in Selwood Road from 11am to 3pm.
All are welcome to enjoy drinks, snacks and hot food, which is offered very cheaply (£1-£2 from 12.30 pm).
As well as the lunches, drop-in advice and support will be available from Mendip YMCA (for over 25s), ELIM Connect (for homeless people) and Mendip Credit Union.
ELIM Connect will be available to talk from 11am to 1pm, and the credit union from 1pm to 3pm.
Wendy Miller-Williams, co-ordinator of Fair Frome said, “We’re delighted that some of our partner agencies will be at the Bridge Café on Tuesdays to offer advice and support to people in need.
“They will work together to address a range of needs at a time that increasing numbers of people are struggling to cope.”
