Multi-award winning Chris Packham is one of this country’s most exciting and respected TV naturalists and conservationists. On Sunday 17th September Chris brings his highly in-demand “Wild Night Out” show to the Cheese and Grain.
With his love and knowledge of the natural world and his profile as a television presenter of groundbreaking series, he has become a sought after and highly entertaining speaker.
Chris is co-presenter of Springwatch, Autumnwatch & Winterwatch (BBC Two). Since his first appearance on The Really Wild Show (BBC) he has rarely been off our screens. His most recent series include Inside the Animal Mind (BBC); Nature’s Weirdest (BBC), The Burrowers (BBC), Secrets of our Living Planet (BBC).
Going wild with an entertaining and informative look at some of nature’s most popular and interesting species, and illustrated with his superb photographs from around the world and UK, he explains the fascinating ecologies and behaviours of a range of creatures from leopards to barn owls, from cheetahs to pond skaters, from polar bears to peregrines.
Chris will tell of his close shaves and the often bizarre lengths he’ll go to get a picture, and challenges people to think again about the conventions of conservation. This entertaining and informative evening is suitable for the 8 to 80s, with time for questions at the end. Following the show Chris will also be partaking in a meet and greet with his fans.
Seats are £20 in advance (unreserved seating), available from the Cheese & Grain.
