MAKERS’ Yard is excited to welcome Frome to their Christmas Art Market, taking place on Saturday 4th December from 2pm-7pm. Entry will be free to all!
The Christmas Art Market will be held at Makers’ Yard and will feature a variety of contemporary artists, makers and designers from across Somerset. Visitors will be able to buy Christmas gifts from their favourite local businesses while discovering new or emerging makers. They will be able to indulge in the festive atmosphere and enjoy performances from local musicians, whilst grabbing a bite to eat and a warm winter drink.
There will be around 15 stalls of varying sizes throughout the community yard and events space, featuring ceramics, jewellery, prints and artisan gifts. Makers’ Yard will also welcome visitors to a handful of open studios to meet the resident makers and get an insight into their practices.
Director of Makers’ Yard, Ryan Todd, says, “As a community of artists, designers and makers, this will be our first large event in the building. We hope this will be the start of a growing programme of community arts and culture projects and are very excited to invite the local community down to our first gathering.”
All profits made from running the Market will go to the Makers’ Yard Collective, a new community interest company established to focus on community arts and culture projects in Frome.
