Festive singing will fill Holy Trinity Church next month as the Frome Good Afternoon Choir stages its annual Celebration Carol concert.
The free event takes place on Monday 1st December from 1.45pm to 2.45pm with choir members performing seasonal favourites for families and guests. Pupils from Vallis First School will also perform Christmas pieces, and the Mayor of Frome, cllr Anita Collier is expected to attend.
The concert is part of a series of Good Afternoon Choir events across the South West, South Wales and London, with more than 2,000 people expected to attend. Founded 16 years ago by Bath musician Grenville Jones, the choirs meet weekly and are led by local conductors.
Each group chooses a charity to support, with collections taken at their carol concerts. In Frome, donations will go towards the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance, the choir’s chosen charity for 2025.
