An event focused on the impact of climate change and how communities can build resilience is moving to the Cheese and Grain on Tuesday 13th May due to high demand for tickets.
Act to Adapt, organised by Frome Town Council, is the first in a series of events and is part of a project co-hosted with Somerset Wildlife Trust and funded by the Somerset Rivers Authority.
Due to strong interest, the venue has been moved to the Cheese and Grain to allow more people to attend.
Frome Town Council’s climate action lead, Matt Mellen, said, “It’s fantastic to see so much interest in the Act to Adapt event, with over 100 people already signed up. We’ve moved the meeting to the Cheese and Grain, so there’s plenty of room for even more people to join us.
“In a time of extreme weather events, strong community connections and knowing our neighbours may be just as important as a survival pack and a good store of tinned food. Please come and join us on 13th May to start building those all-important connections and explore what we can do to support people and wildlife. Free tea and cake will be provided – everyone welcome.”
