FROME College has praised its students’ hard work as this year saw more outstanding A-level grades, and the best GCSE results the college has ever achieved.
57% of GCSE students achieved five or more A*-C grades; an almost 10% improvement on last year, placing the college above the national average.
Maths (67%), English (67%) and science (63%) all saw increases in the number of students attaining grade C or above.
Progress levels in all three core subjects are also very high and above national averages, showing increases at all ability levels.

“These are phenomenal achievements and we are immensely proud of all our students and grateful to their teachers for supporting and challenging them. We also wish to thank students’ parents who work so closely with us to ensure the students succeed.
“A crucial part in increasing uptake to higher education, apprenticeships and training is the guidance to both UCAS and alternative routes for our year 13 students.
