COMEDY, live music and dancing will be the order of the day at Frome Memorial Theatre over the coming weeks.
On Sunday 16th April, veteran comedian Ken Dodd will bring The Ken Dodd Happiness Show to the Memorial. Sir Ken was knighted in HM The Queen’s 2017 New Year’s Honours List; a fitting tribute to the Master of Mirth, and a comedian of legendary status. He is an icon and national treasure who has been entertaining audiences for a lifetime of happiness and laughter. The show is at 7pm and tickets costs £25.
On Saturday 22nd April ‘One Night of Elvis’ will bring back the biggest hits of The King, Elvis Presley. Lee Memphis King, Europe’s most successful Elvis Presley tribute artist, recreates the essence of the King with consummate ease and an almost unbelievable combination of stunningly accurate vocals and incredible passion in every performance. This new show celebrates Elvis’s Vegas years from 1969 to 1977. The show starts at 7.30pm and tickets cost £22 or £21 conc.
On Saturday 29th April at the Assembly Rooms, enjoy a fun-filled hands-on Race Night to raise funds for the Theatre Restoration fund. Meet in the paddock at 7pm with under starters orders at 7.30pm. Entry £5 per person which includes a buffet.
Then from Tuesday 9th – Saturday 13th May Frome Musical Theatre Company present the blockbuster smash hit Grease the Musical.
Packed with explosive energy, vibrant 1950s pop culture and all the unforgettable songs from the hit movie, this is sure to be ‘A Wop Ba Ba Lu Mop and Wop Bam Boom!’ If you like to sing-a-long, then come to their opening night performance and join in with the cast!
