FROME Festival Poetry Cafe welcomes comic poet, Rob Barratt, as their main guest at the Garden Cafe on Monday 9th July at 7.30pm.
Rob has performed at festivals all over the UK – and Australia – and combines clever word-play and verse with song, satire, and audience participation. Reviews have called him ‘absolutely outstanding’ and ‘one of the funniest performers yet,’ and comedian Mike Harding says he is ‘not only clever, but very funny’.
This year’s Frome Festival Poet Laureate will be chosen from open mic readers on the night. In keeping with the Festival theme this year, they are inviting their audience to bring their original words on the theme of Frankenstein!
Bring your poem on any aspect of Mary Shelley’s story – or make up your own monster – and visit the Garden Cafe at 7.30pm!
Entry £5 on the door (no advance booking).
