FROME accommodation charity The Blue House is looking for local people to become trustees.
The Blue House is an Almshouse and Sheltered Housing Scheme in the heart of Frome which provides special accommodation for local elderly people.
The board of trustees, which manages the charity, is inviting applications from the local community to fill vacancies and join with the existing volunteer trustees.
Chair of trustees Chris Rose said, “We are particularly keen to recruit volunteers with sound business skills and/or a legal background. If you would like to join our friendly team please write to us.
“Trustees meet six times a year when any issue affecting the charity is discussed.
“We are delighted to report the Almshouse, which has 17 residential units, has been fully occupied through the past year. The finances are in good order and a programme of redecoration has been started.”
To join the board write to Chair of Trustees, The Blue House, The Bridge, Frome, BA11 1AP.
