Could you become a trustee at the Merlin Theatre?

THE Merlin Theatre is seeking to appoint new trustees to join their board.

A spokesperson said, “Trustees work closely with the chair and artistic director helping them to achieve the aims and objectives of The Merlin Theatre, to help develop a robust business model, and support the staff and volunteers.

“We are looking for candidates who may have experience in the following areas, although this is not essential; a love of the arts, a good sense of humour and a can-do attitude is all we need! Responsibilities include: accounting and finance, with a view to becoming our new treasurer; fundraising and environmental responsibilities.

“Trustees are expected to attend bi-monthly meetings and subcommittee meetings as and when appropriate. We encourage our board to attend events, get actively involved and act as champions of the theatre. Please note this is an unpaid voluntary role.”
