LOCAL cancer counselling charity We Hear You’s chief executive officer Lucy Kitchener is seeking participants for a steering group, workshops and research, to help develop the charity’s 2024 strategy as it heads for an exciting new phase of development.
Lucy Kitchener, who took over as WHY CEO in March last year, said:”We are seeking people interested in helping us to shape the strategic direction for We Hear You from 2024.
“You might be an employed member of We Hear You staff, a self-employed counsellor, an ambassador, a volunteer, a director, a trustee, or someone who has used our services. There are several ways in which you might want to get involved, including joining the steering group, meeting every six to eight weeks in the coming months to collate the information gathered from various sources and lead on drafting We Hear You’s new strategy document.
“You can also help us by assisting with some short-term guided research into best practice and the activities of similar organisations, joining a facilitated workshop looking at service provision and the kinds of services people would like to see, or simply by offering fresh eyes to sense check and proof read the strategy and related documents. The time commitment is varied and we’d like the process to be collaborative and include a wide range of perspectives, so please do consider getting involved and supporting a growing and vital local charity.”
