COUNCIL tax is set to rise by nearly three per cent, Frome Town Council has recently confirmed.
The town council agreed to raise council tax at a meeting on Wednesday 30th of January.
Council tax will increase by £3.47 per annum or 29 pence per month for a typical Band D property. This will mean the town’s precept will rise from £964,609 to £991,618.
Leader of Frome Town Council, cllr Mel Usher said, “As the higher tiers of government withdraw more and more services, it falls on the town council to make sure these still go on.”
