It’s never too early to mention the Mayor of Frome’s Christmas card competition! So this year’s Mayor, Cllr Andy Jones is putting the call out to the children of Frome to design 2024’s Christmas card.
The Mayor is looking for the most creative design around the theme ‘Winter Woodland’ to tie in with this year’s exciting lantern parade. What does this mean to you? Why is it important that we celebrate and protect our winter woodland and wildlife? Perhaps you have a favourite green space in and around Frome you would like to feature. Importantly don’t forget to put a Christmas twist on your design.
Mayor of Frome, Cllr Andy Jones said, “Every year we are inundated with the most fantastic artistic creations, and I just know I am going to be in awe of the range of imaginative and inspiring offerings this year. It’s going to be tough to choose!”
Each year the Mayor sends out a uniquely designed Christmas card to many different organisations and individuals who they have met over the year. This year’s card will be sent as both an e-card and in the more traditional format.
The competition is open to all school-age children in Frome up to the age of 12. There will be prizes for the top three entries. Entries should be posted to or dropped off at: Mayor’s Christmas Card Competition, Frome Town Hall, Christchurch Street West, Frome, BA11 1EB.
Don’t forget to add your name, age and school on the back. The closing date for entries is 5pm on Friday 25th October.
