Frome & District Probus Club held its traditional end of year quiz at Beckington Memorial Hall.
The event was well supported by members, their wives and friends. The winning team were ‘The Crusties’, the victors comprising John Jones, Bill Vallis, Jean Jones and Hilary Vallis.
Social secretary John Hellier reported, “The annual Probus end of 2015 quiz was a very successful event with about 40 members and friends divided into 10 teams. The Question Master was Michael Brooke and he was ably supported by Alan and Tricia Bishop, and Eileen Joel and friends.
“10 rounds of questions were posed, ranging from music, geography and English, to science, flags and sport. The eventual winners won by a narrow margin, only about 10 points separating the first and last teams. An enjoyable evening was rounded off with a fish and chip supper.”
