As part of Cycle September, Frome Town Council is providing pumps, puncture repair kits and multi tools available for anyone to use at Frome Town Hall, the Cheese and Grain and La Strada during opening hours.
Emma Parker, community project officer, who recently led on the school active travel challenge said, “We want to encourage people to cycle in the area. It’s all too easy to get caught off guard by a puncture, but these kits will help people be back on their bikes, and maybe grab a cuppa at the same time.”
Mayor of Frome, cllr Richard Ackroyd said, “There are so many health benefits to cycling including increased cardiovascular fitness, increased muscle strength and flexibility, decreased stress levels and reduced body fat. Plus cycling cuts air pollution and is a cheap way to get around.”
The council also has electric bikes available for hire on-line in partnership with Cycology and is promoting Cycle September. For more information visit: lovetoride.net/frome
