A FUNDRAISING drive held by Trinity Church has seen a cash boost by a series of anonymous donors.
The Big Coin Challenge, saw hundreds of 1p and 2p coins trail from the altar at Trinity Church down to Trinity Street. On the day, the trail raised £501.89 from people adding their own 1p and 2p pieces to the coin trail, and now after a series of anonymous donations the total has been boosted to £2,007.56. Lesley Owen from Trinity Church said, “We had two anonymous donators come along at first and match the total, with a third offering up the rest last week. “And it all started with a yogurt pot full of 1p and 2p coins. It just shows what can happen when we all pull together.”
