STAFF and volunteers at the Dorothy House Frome furniture shop, in Wessex Fields, are celebrating the store’s third birthday and winning the Dorothy House ‘store of the year’ award.
The team were given the award last week at a conference for all 27 Dorothy House Hospice Care charity shops. About their win, a spokesperson for Dorothy House said, “They were selected as the overall winner because they achieved an amazing sales performance despite the absence of a manager for a number of weeks. They are a jolly team of shop staff and drivers for whom nothing is too much trouble, as they consistently give excellent customer service, at all times.”
To celebrate their win and to mark the third anniversary of the store’s opening, the team is inviting the community to join them to share a cup of tea or coffee and some cake.
Manager Becky Hayter Dunn said, “Come along and join us to mark this special anniversary and our award – they are both big achievements that we are all proud of.
“Staff and volunteers will be available to have a chat and to answer any questions people might have about the charity and the work Dorothy House does in the community.
“As well as the free refreshments, there will be some special offers on some of the furniture throughout the day.”
The celebrations take place on Saturday 26th January, at the Dorothy House Frome furniture store, Wessex Fields, from 11am to 4pm.
