TMW Music School in Westbury presents TMW Healthy Rhythms – A chance to listen, learn and participate in an exciting djmebe and samba drumming session.
TMW Healthy Rhythms Djembe Session will be running on Saturday 27th September at the Laverton Hall, Westbury from 10am until 12pm as part of Westbury Music & Arts Festival. Tickets are £1 and are available from All Instruments. This session will be suitable for all ages and abilities and all equipment is provided.
The morning will start off with an exciting performance from some of the local schoolchildren, and will lead into the history of djembe and percussion and the art of hand drumming. The group will then get together and learn to play new beats, as well as creating your own, and inspiring creativity through rhythm.

The following day TMW Music School is running a 12-hour long charity drumming marathon at All Instruments to help raise money for Dorothy House Hospice Care.
The event, on Sunday 28th September, will run from 8.00am-8.00pm, also as part of the Westbury Music & Arts Festival. It will include drumming sessions from All Instruments’ teachers, pupils, guest musicians and members of the public, playing on brand new kits.
Jessica Dayman-Johns from All Instruments/ TMW Music School said, “All Instruments likes to help as many worthy causes as we can. Dorothy House has helped many families close to us over the years and rely on charity donations to keep them running.”
You will be able to collect a sponsorship form from All Instruments, decide how long you want to challenge yourself to drum for, and start collecting your sponsors!
