Glastonbury Festival organiser Emily Eavis paid a visit to Frome’s Cheese & Grain to officially open the newly refurbished café bar.
Emily who is the Patron of the Cheese & Grain, poured a pint, enjoyed a coffee and then toured the building with C&G Director Steve Macarthur. There then followed a VIP reception with the Mayor of Frome Toby Elliot cutting the ribbon to open the relaunched Grain Café Bar.
The new look café bar was the vision of Owen Postgate, who project managed the refurbishment. It is now licensed so customers can enjoy a glass of wine/beer with lunch. There will also be a new menu including a daily specials board with pre-show meals available on many shows. The bar will now stock a wide range of wines, spirits and guest craft ales and ciders.
The Cheese & Grain has taken over the management of both the café and the bar which enables them to be open longer hours and offer a stronger service.
Graeme Barry has been appointed as Hospitality Manager with extensive pub/restaurant experience and is a welcome addition to the Cheese & Grain management team.
