Four enterprise students from Frome College attended the monthly Business Breakfast, held at the newly-opened Town Hall, on Tuesday 2nd May.
The college reports, “They arrived at 7.00am promptly to be met by a room full of local business owners and town councillors. The students performed a presentation explaining their school calendar project which received an excellent response, and a number of the businesses attending agreed to sponsor the calendar.
“The students had a very early start, and any nervousness was not on show and they presented very well. Frome College is very proud of their efforts so far.
“There has been a very positive response from local businesses that are supporting the project already. There is still some availability for businesses to sponsor the project and place their logo / advert on one of the calendar pages. All profits from this will help to fund a school counsellor at Frome College.
“The students’ inspiration for this project was due to the recent rising in teenage depression in the past few years, and the recent media coverage about mental health issues. With exams coming closer and closer for everyone involved, it is healthy to keep stress levels down and focus on work. The enterprise students decided to do this project and help the cause by fundraising for a school counsellor.”
