THERE is a new person at the helm of local travel firm, Lesmon Travel, but it’s a face that’s already very familiar to the firm’s customers.
The business was set up by Les and Monica Price in the early 1980s and taken over by their son-in-law, Mark, 15 years ago. Now, with Mark retiring, Les and Monica’s daughter, Brigitte Wye, has taken over the popular local coach travel company.
“Known for our personal, friendly touch, I’m passionate about making sure everyone feels included and enjoys their holiday,” says Brigitte.
“A recent driver for the company commented, ‘Your customers are like one big, happy family’ and that he would readily ‘come on holiday with you’.
“There are always plenty of laughs of an evening at the bar. When there is evening entertainment, I’m the first one on the dance floor to get the party started – or I’m happy to teach customers a card game, as on the recent tour to Inverness.
“I will be continuing the complimentary door-to-door pickup service within the locality and offering popular tours from past years, such as Dunoon, Scotland and Llandudno, as well as introducing new destinations in the future.
“A new trip to Eastbourne on 11th to 15th December staying at the Queens Hotel, incorporates the popular Christmas markets of Brighton, Royal Tunbridge Wells, Winchester and Chichester, with plenty of free time to enjoy the Christmas festivities and evening fun.
“We pride ourselves on delivering distinctive tours of the highest quality and best value. We believe in making your holiday that extra bit special by providing a unique level of customer service that can only truly be delivered by a small independent company. Whether it is a short three-day break or a longer European tour, you receive the same standards of service and comfort.
“On all tours of five days or more we offer a complimentary door to door service in Frome and the surrounding villages, (where this is physically possible). We try to offer this service on our shorter breaks, but where this is not possible we can provide parking free of charge at our base in Frome. And being a local company, we only pick up from our local area and don’t spend hour upon hour just completing the pick-ups before starting the journey.”
The company has moved to 1 Marston Lane, Frome, its original home, and will benefit from Les’s help and support in continuing this family run success story.
