Would you like to find ways to connect with your kids this upcoming school holidays?
Remakery: Frome are hosting a series of free sessions for the whole family to explore creativity together. It’s a chance to try lots of different creative skills, connect with each other and maybe even come away with a keepsake you made together.
Remakery: Frome are working together with highly experienced local makers to provide the opportunity to explore lots of different creative skills in a safe, supportive and fun environment. Try your hand at a wide range of things. From traditional skills like sewing – create something using colourful tents scavenged from Glastonbury Festival (cleaned of course), to 21st century creative technological projects – using invention kits that connect your computer to the real world.
Perhaps you’d like to use locally-grown willow to create a creature for your garden. Or have a go at making films by hand without a camera? Or explore the basic building blocks of the internet and how to create things online? All the sessions are designed to be fun and flexible. Everyone is welcome. You can make something alone or alongside your family/friends.
Remakery: Frome is a community workshop set-up by a student team on Edventure’s Start-Up Course. It is home to The Men’s and Women’s Sheds and home to Edventure’s MAKE Course. And these activity days are possible thanks to funding from the ITV People’s Project.
The sessions are free, informal and open to everyone of all ages and abilities. Book at: www.facebook.com/remakeryfrome/events
