LOCAL man, Paul Starr, is organising events in the coming months at Frome Town Football Club with a Summer Charity Bash, as well as an afternoon at the darts with World Champion Adrian ‘Jackpot’ Lewis.
The summer charity bash is on this Friday, 22nd June, from 7.30pm – midnight featuring live music from local band ‘The Hammervilles’ and disco from Paul Starr himself.
Tickets are £5, with all profit being split between two charities; the British Heart Foundation in aid of Paul’s son, Samuel, who died in 2012 from a complex heart condition; and CLIC Sargent in memory of Ben Crutchley who also died in 2012 from a brain tumour. Since then, Ben’s parents Nigel and Su, have pledged to raise £1million for the charity, with their fundraising currently at over £400,000.
