A family is collecting much-needed food donations for Fair Frome through their festive Christmas lights display, which decorates their house on Critchill Road.
People can view the lights and, if they wish, donate food items into a box at the end of the driveway, which will be taken in around 9pm each evening.
“For many years, we have put up Christmas decorations on the front of my nan’s house along Critchill Road,” says Xanthe Anderson. “So many people stop to look at the display and come back every year to see it.
“We hope that everyone gets as much enjoyment from seeing the lights as we do decorating the house. We are also hoping to raise a good amount for a much-needed resource at this time of year.
“We actually had a couple of things donated the same night that we put them up, which was great.
“Any donations will make a difference but just collecting as much as we can to help those who need it is a good way to enhance the Christmas spirit. Fair Frome has shared a list of items they need on Facebook, so if people can, they can consider adding those to the box,” Xanthe added.
