AS PART of the Year 8 transition unit to Frome College, Oakfield Academy welcomed Gemma Fowler, a science-fiction writer and author of “Moondust”
Gemma gave an inspirational talk about how she uses her own passions and interests when she writes and gave invaluable tips on how students could approach their transition story at the end of this term. The story titled ‘Brave New World’ will be judged by their Frome College teachers and three prizes will be awarded in there in September. The prize winners will also be published in a local magazine.
