The Cheese and Grain hosted one of the UK’s most successful artists last week, when Frank Turner played a sold-out show in Frome.
The singer-songwriter returned to town for the fifth time with his band, the Sleeping Souls, on Wednesday 19th February, to play the show that was part of Frank Turner’s Road to Show 3,000.
The Road to Show 3,000 marks a milestone in Frank Turner’s career and included performances in Belfast, Dublin, Wolverhampton and Frome, before ending with an epic sold-out gig at London’s Alexandra Palace on Saturday 22nd February, in front of over 10,000 fans.
For Frome’s special show, local fans flocked to the Cheese and Grain, packing out the venue for the performance, which was one of the Cheese and Grain’s fastest-selling events in history, alongside the likes of Sir Paul McCartney and Fatboy Slim.
The evening saw fans lift the rafters of the Cheese and Grain’s roof as they sang along to their favourite songs and shared stories of Frank Turner gigs gone by.
Despite performing at countless venues over the years, Frank Turner said the Cheese and Grain ‘feels like home’ and is a venue that ‘stands out from the crowd.’
Frank Turner has released 10 studio albums; his most recent, Undefeated, released last year, reached number three in the UK charts and number one in the independent charts.
