THE Inner Wheel Club of Frome’s new president, Gill Barnes, is looking forward to celebrating the 25th year that the Frome Inner Wheel has held their Farmers’ Harvest Festival Service and Auction at the Standerwick Conference Centre on Thursday 5th October starting at 7pm.
Sue Ruddick said, “The Rev. Clive Fairclough will be officiating at the service and the event will be held in aid of Fairfield Farm College, Dilton Marsh, a really worthwhile charity, teaching young people with special needs to cope with their everyday lives.
“Debbie Hughes, the Fairfield College fundraiser, will give a short talk about the charity after the service, and as usual there will be a break between the service and the auction for people to enjoy a ploughman’s supper which you can order on arrival.
“The members of Frome Inner Wheel invite everyone to contribute to the auction by bringing goods such as unwanted gifts, together with any jams, marmalades, fruit, vegetables, plants etc and of course not forgetting any delicious homemade cakes, that will be sold by Rotarian Dennis Barnard to raise much-needed funds for the charity, as he has done for the past 25 years.
“So please come and support us, we look forward to seeing you there, and enjoy a really good evening.”
