FATHER Christmas has asked the members of the Frome Lions and Rotary clubs to help him when he visits the residents of Frome and surrounding villages again this Christmas.
The Santa Float will be running from December 1st on 17 days before the big day on the 25th December- unless affected by increased Covid controls. The dates and routes are listed below.
They will also be publicised on the new Santa Frome Facebook page and the Frome Lions and Rotary websites and Facebook pages.
The most significant change from last year will be the return to house to house collections and Santa’s helpers will be knocking on individual doors and collecting cash at the roadside.
Mobile phone users can also donate by text. To donate text SANTAFROME and either 1,3,5,10 or 20 to 70085.

If anyone has been saving up all their pennies, all is not lost! There will also be a cash donation drop off point in the Rotary Shop in the town centre. Details will be provided on all social media outlets.
Handwritten letters to Father Christmas will also be accepted this year, and the postbox on the float will be in use. Please make sure to include your address so that responses can be sent. Rest assured boys and girls that Father Christmas will, as usual, be reading all your letters in time for the delivery of presents.
A Lions and Rotary spokesperson said, “We are absolutely delighted to be able to run the float around Frome and surrounding villages again this year. We are planning to bring a heap of seasonal joy and excitement to brighten up everyone in the community as Christmas approaches.”
