Music lovers in Frome are invited to Oakfield Choir’s upcoming performance of Handel’s much‑loved oratorio, Judas Maccabaeus.
The concert takes place on Saturday 9th May at 7pm at Holy Trinity Church.
Organisers say, “This will be a fitting setting for one of Handel’s most triumphant and dramatic works. Best known for the famous chorus ‘See, the conqu’ring hero comes!’, Judas Maccabaeus combines rousing choruses with expressive solos and rich orchestral writing.
“Oakfield Choir, a well‑established Frome‑based choir and registered charity, will be conducted by Neil Moore, bringing together local singers and professional musicians to deliver a powerful and uplifting performance.”
Tickets are £18, with free admission for under‑18s.
Refreshments will be available before the performance and during the interval. Tickets are available now via www.ticketsource.com/ocf or cash only from Hunting Raven Books on Cheap Street.
