ROOK Lane Chapel is set to host a variety of events this year. For the rest of February they have the following lined up:-
Saturday 8th – 22nd February
Free the Words (part 1) – Adventures in Outdoor Literacy,10.00am – 4.00pm Tuesday – Saturday.
“Break 3 showcases current projects and ideas designed to encourage a creative outdoor approach to literacy for local schools. These projects are a coming together of the indoor and outdoor, the hi-tech and the low-tech, from the use of technology to create story walks, to creating temporary spaces in the great outdoors.
“Come along to see what local schools have been up to with artists Chris Jelley and Lucia Harley, who will also be leading talks and activities throughout the exhibition. Please visit the Rook Lane website for more details.”

Thursday 13th February
Break 3 Presents Chris Jelley – “Fly Catchers and Winding Charms”
Doors open at 7.00pm. Talk from 7.30pm.
“As part of Break 3’s spring exhibition Free the Words part 1, Break 3 will host a series of talks and activities for anyone interested in learning more about adventurous reading.
“Come and hear award-winning artist and story-teller Chris Jelley share his experience of introducing a little bit of technical magic to the breath-taking scenery of the Coleridge Way in West Somerset, and the potential of geo-located text and stories to inspire all.”
