HUNTING Raven, Chicken House Publishing, Bath Festivals, and The Little Things Magazine are teaming up to host their annual Chicken House Children’s Roadshow at the Cheese and Grain on Thursday 9th February.
The aim of the event is to foster a life-long love of reading and give all children the opportunity to meet a nationally esteemed author. This year’s Chicken House authors are James Nicol, Lindsey Galvin and Jasbinder Bilan.
Now in its fifth year, this event is offered free of charge to over 700 children from local schools and is a legacy of WordUP, a literacy-based project funded by Frome Town Council and Arts Council England.
Organisers say, “We’d love to invite you to attend. There are two sittings; the first event runs from 10am-11:30am and the second event runs from 1pm-2:30pm. Books will be sold at a discounted rate through Hunting Raven bookshop and children will be able to have their copies signed in person by the authors.”
