Wickets were also claimed by N. Dredge (2-20), R. Croker (1-39), Watts (1-22), M Sanger (1-22) and Lett (1-19). Which left Minehead 155 all out at the interval.
P Sanger (20) and Lett (20) both started the batting confidently, creating a partnership of 32 runs before Lett fell to the bowling of Archer. Next to face the Minehead bowlers was R Croker (28) who looked to improve the run rate and put the opposition under pressure. Two quick wickets fell, leaving Frome 84-3 from 24 overs. A partnership of 52 was then built by Gullock (28) and S Croker (37*). Minehead’s Taylor returned for a second spell to gain the wickets of Gullock and Smart (0). S Croker and Smith (11*) brought home the win to gain 19 points from the game. Frome now hold second position in the league at this early stage of the season.
