TWO of Frome’s longest-standing Fitness instructors are celebrating one year of their renewed joint venture.
Gina Fry and Lyndsey Uphill first worked together in 1994. In 1997 they formally joined forces and BODYbasics was born as a stand-alone studio fitness business. The pair went their own ways professionally in 2012, each wanting to explore different aspects of the fitness industry, but they remained close firm friends throughout.
Fast forward to 2022, post covid, and they decided to join forces once again and created a new business – The Studio – Fitness Class in Frome.
They have just celebrated their one-year anniversary at their venue on the Marston Trading Estate, and things are looking very bright for their future.
They offer classes mornings and evenings, with a team of highly motivated instructors. Classes include Pilates, Body Conditioning, Aerobics, Bums Legs and Tums, Super Seniors, Kettlebells, Circuit training, FITMIX, HIIT, FitSteps, Zumba, Zumba Gold and Zumba toning.
Gina said “We firmly believe fitness has to be fun, or people won’t want to stick to it, so fun is at the forefront of every class we teach. Aside from that we are also highly qualified in our field, with 30 years’ teaching experience each. We bring the traditional fitness concepts up to date, ensuring everyone can benefit from our experience, in an honest, straightforward way that everyone can understand.”
Gina and team member Michelle also specialise in classes for older adults, with L3 qualifications in GP Referral, Teaching Exercise to Older Adults, Chair Based Exercise and Parkinson’s Pro fitness, allowing them to reach and help even more people who otherwise may not find appropriate exercise.
