FORMER BBC broadcast journalist, health and technology writer and podcaster on Parkinson’s, Rory Cellan-Jones is coming to Frome this November.
“He will be talking about his remarkable life,” says Tina Gaisford-Waller from Winstone’s Hunting Raven Books who are organising the event. “His recently published memoir, Ruskin Park: Sylvia, Me and The BBC is both an ode to the glamour of 1950s television and a moving account of his compelling journey of discovery about his own beginnings after a childhood of secrets.
“Rory will be in conversation with Frome’s very own John Killah (retired solicitor, bestselling author and Fair Frome Trustee).”
You can catch Rory at The Assembly Rooms (behind the Memorial Theatre) on Wednesday 15th November. Doors (and the bar) will open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. Tickets are £6 and can be purchased online at: www.bit.ly/roryfrome, in store at Winstone Hunting Raven Books on Cheap Street, or by phone on 01373 473111. Copies of the book will be available to buy on the night.
