A SERIES of talks around climate change and energy will take place over the coming months at Frome Town Hall.
Nikki Jones, a researcher and writer on climate change and energy will explore a range of important issues. The talks will culminate in an evening of discussion and planning on how we can work together to address these important subjects and take action.
The following dates are planned: Thursday 14th December titled ‘UK Energy, Emissions and Targets’, Thursday 15th February 2018 titled ‘Is Nuclear the Answer?’, Thursday 22nd March titled ‘Land Use and Climate Change’ and Thursday 19th April titled ‘The Way Forward’.
Roger Saunders who helped to organise the series said, ‘Nikki is a fantastic speaker and we are lucky that she is giving her time for free to raise awareness and collect donations for Solar Aid. Climate change can be a confusing subject, but it is an issue that affects us all as our climate begins to change. Locally flood risks are increasing and air pollution is high in many areas.
The talks will take place in Frome Town Hall, from 7.00pm to 9.00 pm. Entry is free. Frome Town Council is hosting the series with support from Sustainable Frome and East Mendip Green Party.
