Due to popular demand Frometech and Frome Library are continuing to host free iPad support sessions for the ‘over 50s’ on Saturday 7th February, and then every second Saturday of the month.
Three support sessions will be run between 10.00am – 12.00noon, and will cover subjects including downloading eBooks, configuring and using email, setting up Skype and using the internet. The sessions will be run each month and spaces will be limited, so booking is essential.
To book your place on one of the sessions please visit the library in person, or go to www.frometech.co.uk. iPads will not be available to loan for the sessions so you will need to bring your own.
Jamie Seviour, Founding Partner of Frometech explained, “31% of iPad owners in the UK fall within the 55+ age range. We have noticed that a lot of our customers have dual ownership of a tablet device, such as the iPad and a standard desktop or laptop.
“As iPads are being used more for communications and eBook readers we decided to provide free sessions to the public to help people get the most out of their devices. The sessions will be aimed at people who have an iPad, but are not sure how to use some of the features or functionality of the device.
“Frome Library has very kindly allowed us to use their facilities to host the sessions, and it also provides a great opportunity to train people on how to use their eBook system.”
