A free mental health drop-in cafe for adults is relaunching in Frome this month, offering a welcoming space at The Good Heart on Palmer Street.
Starting on Wednesday 23rd September, the Wellbeing Cafe Collective will offer adults aged 18 and over a non-judgemental space to access peer support from others with lived experience and find out more about support available locally.
It was formerly run by Open Mental Health Champions before being taken over.
The free drop-in will offer hot drinks and cakes and will be open on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month from 2pm to 4pm until December for now, with the group hoping to secure ongoing funding.
Organisers say, “We know that taking the first step towards support can feel difficult but our aim is to offer a warm, informal, confidential and non-judgemental space where adults can feel welcome, whether they want to talk to their peers, listen, or simply sit quietly with a hot drink. Come and just be yourself.
“Hosted at The Good Heart, a volunteer-led community space, the Wellbeing Cafe reflects a shared commitment to kindness, connection and wellbeing.”
