FROME Lions Club in conjunction with Somerset Prostate Support Association (SPSA) are holding a free prostate cancer testing day on Saturday 25th February which is open to any male aged 40 years or over.
Prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed form of cancer in the UK currently and as with any cancer, early detection assists treatment and recovery.
The event will be held at Wesley Methodist Church, Frome between 10am until 4pm and all appointments must be booked in advance. To do so please visit spsa.mypsatests.org.uk to register your personal details then search for Frome Lions PSA Testing Event. You can then choose your preferred slot under Book Your Place and complete the sign-up. Once you sign-up you will receive a confirmation email with a QR code, a copy of which needs to be brought with you on the day.
This free of charge event is being jointly funded by Frome Lions Club, local farmers and SPSA, although there will be an opportunity for attendees to donate to the work of SPSA, which will go towards funding future events.
