FROME Friends of Palestine’s will next month be screening the powerful film ‘From Balfour to Banksy’.
“This film describes how, 100 years ago, Arthur Balfour, then UK Foreign Secretary, had a vision which ultimately led to an occupied Palestine today,” explains Gerard Crawshaw, on behalf of Frome Friends of Palestine. “It also shows the vision of another Englishman: the contemporary artist Banksy, who has created in Palestine a hotel that is also a remarkable, satirical art installation.”
The film, which will be followed by a question and answer session with the film’s producer, starts at 7.30pm on Saturday 2nd April at Holy Trinity Church Hall in Frome.
Tickets are £6 (to include light refreshments) and can be obtained at Hunting Raven Bookshop on Cheap Street, via EventBrite or on the door.
