LOCAL actress Kayleigh-Paige Rees has been named as one of Forbes magazine’s ‘30 Under 30’ list which celebrates the brightest young entrepreneurs and leaders making a positive impact on the world.

Kayleigh-Paige has been named on this year’s entertainment list after setting up her own production company, Raspberry Films, to help bridge the gap between independent and mainstream filmmakers.
“Wow! This has to be the biggest accomplishment of my professional career! I am honoured to announce that I have made the Forbes 30 under 30 Entertainment list for 2022,” she said.
“Words can’t describe how I’m feeling, I was always warned that this industry would be tough (and it has been), I was even at points warned against attempting to audition or join the industry. So, to be recognised as a game changer in the industry itself and to be chosen amongst thousands of talented creatives is mind blowing.
“Not just as an actress or producer, but as a businesswoman, I am incredibly proud to be paving the way for future change-makers in the industry.”
In paying tribute to Kayleigh-Paige, Forbes magazine said, “The production company helped work on a documentary that will be presented to the UK Parliament to raise awareness of government cuts in the creative arts.
“Kayleigh-Paige also founded the Cotswold International Film Festival, where filmmakers can showcase their work to other industry professionals at various events.
“She uses her platform to shed light on mental health, producing and starring in Faulty Roots, a film about teenage mental health. At her film festival, she created a ‘Best Mental Health Film’ award category. Most recently, she starred in the Amazon Prime show ‘All About Casey’.”
Kayleigh-Paige also stars in the feature film Impact 50 alongside Olivia Williams and the late John Challis which is about the end of the world and had its UK premiere in London on the 31st May.
The BBC has also recently announced that All About Casey will be returning for a second series, with Kayleigh-Paige playing the lead role alongside Jodie Steele and with the series being produced by Kayleigh-Paige production company, Raspberry Films.
Kayleigh-Paige also starred in ITV’s blockbuster period drama, ‘Sanditon’, based on Jane Austen’s last unfinished novel – in 2019.
