EXCITEMENT is running high for Frome’s very first art fair, which will take place this Saturday 26th September at the Silk Mill, Black Swan Arts and Rook Lane.
Organiser Rose Langley said she has been overwhelmed with the response she has had in the run up to the event saying, “For the first fair we thought we’d maybe fill one or two venues, but the number of brilliant artists who applied could have filled the spaces three times over. The 50 artists taking part are really varied and I’ve been sharing examples of their work on our Facebook page, which has been getting everyone excited.”
Artists taking part come from Frome and the surrounding area, with the furthest coming from Devon. Printmakers, sculptors, painters, glass, ceramics and textile artists will all be setting up their stalls, ready to show their work to the art fair visitors.
“We wanted to give artists a chance to meet new potential collectors and give visitors the chance to discover exciting artists on their doorstep.”
The Frome Art Fair takes place on September 26th 10.00am–4.30pm. Entry is free.
