Facilitated by cardiac physiologist Helen Hodgson, the Frome AF Support Group offers information about AF and the opportunity to meet other patients and carers to share experiences.
Helen says, “People diagnosed with AF often have many questions. My aim is to help provide them with the knowledge they need to support each other through their own experiences.”
Booking is not essential but if you would like to know more or book a place please contact Helen on helen.hodgson3@nhs.net ; Charlene Payne on 01789 867 533 or email c.payne@ heartrhythm alliance.org or visit www. affrome.org
Arrhythmias (heart rhythm disorders) affect over two million people in the UK and atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common arrhythmia. People aged 40 and over have a one in four lifetime risk of developing AF and an increased risk of a life-threatening AF-related stroke – the most severe type of stroke.
