Book lovers will come together at the Silk Mill, Frome on Saturday, November 19th for Frome Book Fair.
Frome, already regarded as one of the best towns to visit in the United Kingdom with its quirky eclectic mix of boutiques and creative buzz, goes up a notch with the first antiquarian bookfair to be held in the town for many years.
Bringing together some of the best antiquarian book dealers from the South West and further afield, the Frome Book Fair will offer visitors an opportunity to buy good quality and rare books and ephemera on many subjects, particularly 20th century art, literature, architecture, military, childrens books and local history. Possibly the perfect place to find an unusual Christmas present? Poot of Catherine Hill in Frome will be bringing copies of the Poot owner Ciara Nolan’s wonderful memoir entitled The Hidden Books along as well.
The highlights include a copy of “The Girl with the Golden Eyes” by Honore de Balzac, illustrated by Donald Denton and privately printed at The Sign of the Peacock, USA, 1928, being offered by Zimnol Books of Twickenham, London.
The fair is being held at the Silk Mill, Merchants Barton, Saxonvale, Frome BA11 1PT on Saturday 19th November from 10am to 4pm. Admission is £ 1 (children free)
